FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
Got questions? You’re not alone! Here are some common things dog parents ask before we get started. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just reach out—I’m happy to help!
What kind of training do you use?
Positive reinforcement, science-backed methods, and a whole lot of real-world practice. No force, no intimidation—just smart, effective training that helps your dog (and you) feel more confident.
Do you offer in-home training?
Yep! I come to you because training where your dog actually lives and learns makes the most sense. Whether it’s your home, your neighborhood, or the local coffee shop patio—wherever you need help, that’s where we train.
What happens in the Kickoff Session?
The Kickoff Session is the first step toward each of the programs I offer. In this one-time session, we’ll get to know your dog, talk through your goals, and begin laying the foundation for a personalized training plan.
Whether you're raising a wild puppy or navigating behavior challenges, we’ll start training right away.
Do I have to choose a program?
You bet. 😉
But here’s why: lasting behavior change takes more than a quick fix or one-off session. Programs like Puppy Pathways or Day Training are built to give you enough time, support, and structure to actually see progress — and keep it.
Think of it like dog-life coaching. We’re not just working on one moment — we’re helping your dog learn how to navigate the world, one week at a time.

What if I'm not sure a program is
right for me?
No problem at all — I get it. Every dog-human team is different. If you're not sure where your situation fits, just shoot me an email or book a quick Pup Talk. We’ll talk it through and figure out the right next step for you and your dog — no pressure.
Do you work with reactive or
nervous dogs?
Absolutely. I specialize in helping dogs build confidence so they can feel safer in their world. If walks are stressful, new people are scary, or your dog just needs help learning how to relax, we’ll work at their pace to make progress.
When should I start training?
The sooner, the better! Puppies can start as early as 8 weeks, but older dogs can learn too. No dog is too old, too stubborn, or “just set in their ways”—training works at any age.
How do I book?
